Keeping a healthy mouth and a good oral hygiene is crucial. To keep your mouth healthy, you should visit your dentist regularly, however there are some solutions as well that you can do on your own to solve your dental problems.

Bad Breath
Having a bad breath is one of the most common dental problems. There are several causes of bad breath, and the solution to this depends on its cause. But, generally, brushing your teeth regularly and flossing can solve this dental problem. There are some foods as well that contribute to the formation of a bad breath. Examples of such are garlic, onions and other spices. Limit your intake of these foods to avoid having a bad breath. Cutting down your smoking habit will also prevent you from having a bad breath.

If your mouth is dry constantly, there is a great chance that you might also have bad breath. Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day, will in most cases prevent dry mouth as well as bad breath.

Gum Recession
Brushing your teeth at least twice a day during the morning when you wake up and before you sleep at night can prevent you from having a gum recession. Flossing regularly is another solution to this dental problem. If your gums are very sensitive, make sure that you use an ultrasoft toothbrush to prevent your gums from bleeding and from getting hurt. Moreover, visiting the dentist regularly for check-ups will help you prevent this problem. Sometimes, taking in Vitamin C supplements will help you prevent this dental problem from occurring.

Tooth Decay
Tooth decay is common not only to kids, but also to adults. If you do not want to suffer from the pain due to your decaying tooth, you should prevent your tooth from decaying as much as possible. There are several ways on how you can prevent your tooth from decaying. The first one is brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing your teeth once a day. Make sure that the toothpaste that you will be using has a fluoride content to keep your teeth strong.

Having a balanced and healthy diet is another solution for tooth decay. Eat foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals. Avoid eating acidic foods and drinks such as colas and sodas. Go for fruit juices and water to prevent your teeth from eroding and decaying. As usually recommended, a regular visit with the dentist can also prevent your teeth from decaying.

Mouth Sores
The main cause of the mouth sores is the virus that is present in the mouth. There are two kinds of mouth sores: the cankers and the cold sores. Normally, these mouth sores will heal in a week or two. To reduce the pain that is caused by these mouth sores, you can buy an antimicrobial rinse from a drug store. A topical anaesthetic is also available over the counter. To avoid this from occurring, you should always keep your mouth clean by brushing everyday and flossing regularly.
